The human body in it’s balanced state is self-healing. When you provide it the nutrition it needs, actually digest and assimilate the nutrition, efficiently remove waste, nourish exhausted body systems and deal with emotional stress, it becomes balanced and self-healing. Therefore many times the symptoms of chronic illness disappear. It is amazing what can happen with your body when normal function is returned.

Collection: The procedure involves the client collecting their urine for a period of 24 hours. Certain processes are followed and then a sample of that is sent to the lab for evaluation.

Lab Procedure: The urinalysis testing procedure begins with the same standard screening tests performed in hospitals to recognize disease. Diabetes, liver and kidney disease, as well as urinary infection or inflammation, are first ruled out and referred before proceeding.

Physical Tests: Physical tests for color, cloudiness, volume and specific gravity are recorded. They are used to recognize abnormalities, including the kidney’s ability to clean the body.

Chemistry Tests: Complicated chemistry tests are performed, including an Indican evaluation to measure the presence of food in the colon that is putrefying; this creates irritants and toxins, which cause pain and inflammation.

What will my first consultation Include?

The first consultation is scheduled for two hours. Prior to that, we email a signs and symptom survey, and client intake form. You will also have completed the 24 urinalyses. When we meet we complete a structural evaluation and a homeostatic nutritional assessment. Additionally, we may include the emotional questionnaire at this time.

What is the Food Enzyme Institute (formerly Loomis Institute) where Febe received her Digestive Health Specialist certification?

The Food Enzyme Institute is a postgraduate educational program that is approved by the State of Wisconsin Educational Approval Board. The seminar material is the work of Howard F. Loomis, Jr., DC, FIACA. Dr. Loomis has combined the work of food enzyme pioneer, Edward Howell, MD, with his many years of clinical experience to develop this Diploma and certification program. The philosophy behind the Food Enzyme Institute is based on the vitalistic premise that the body possesses an innate intelligence to heal and maintain itself when it is given the proper amounts of air, water, nutrients, and exercise. It is our goal as digestive health professionals to identify those organs that are struggling to do their part for the maintenance of homeostasis. The Loomis System®, developed by Howard Loomis, Jr., is a system of diagnostic techniques that can be used to determine the hidden causes of chronic symptoms. All stress, whether it is from a mechanical, chemical, or emotional source, increases the body’s need for nutrition. The Loomis System® focuses on this need because when the body does not have the adequate nutrition to meet the increased stress, the results are always the same. Dr. Loomis has an extensive background in the creation of clinically effective enzyme supplements. His knowledge of physiology, biochemistry, and enzymology has enabled him to educate health professionals around the world on the clinical use of plant enzymes. Febe Sieb is proud to be a graduate of this program and to be able to offer this knowledge to her clients.

How long will it take for me to see results?

Every individual is unique and each person’s experience will vary. However many clients report that their digestive disturbances and other symptoms are relieved within days, sometimes even within just a few meals. Total balance and restoration to health is dependent on each individual’s pattern of health, how committed they are to the process, their compliance, and the length of history of sustained damage to their health. It’s like peeling the layers of an onion.

Because each individual is unique we offer a variety of services, to work with you utilizing different modalities to optimize health and reduce stress. We utilize an integrative and holistic approach with an emphasis on identifying and addressing current sources of stressors (mechanical, emotional, and nutritional), exploring past experiences and family dynamics and developing positive life patterns. What is a 24 – hour urinalysis?

The 24-hour urinalysis screening procedure is the best early warning system available today. While allopathic medicine utilizes blood work to identify problems, we utilize a unique process of examining the urine to find out what is going on at a cellular level. Blood work identifies problems once already in disease-state, so is not effective for preventative health.

Homeostatic Nutritional Analysis or Palpation Test:

This procedure is a very useful technique to the Digestive Health Practitioner. It can assist to evaluate and answer many questions. It can help to determine what dietary changes need to be made to alleviate nutritional stress on the body; which food enzymes would be most efficient to improve pre-digestion; which digestive organs are stressed; is your digestive system struggling to process carbohydrates, proteins, fats, fruits or vegetables; and is the colon properly eliminating waste products?

Our bodies try to maintain balance within itself, but if we are not digesting our food, the nutrition is not being assimilated. We also need water, air, and sleep to maintain health. In addition, we must also be able to keep the channels of elimination clear so your immune system is not overworked and health can be sustained.

The findings from the Homeostatic Nutritional Analysis or Palpations are used in conjunction with a 24-Hour Urinalysis and a Signs and Symptoms Survey to assist the practitioner in finding the true cause of digestive symptoms, which can also be the cause of other chronic symptoms. We call this the Source of Stress!

Tierra Wellness Center LLC primarily recommends a professional line of supplements from Enzyme Formulations, Inc. From EFI: “Our products are manufactured exclusively by manufacturers in the United States that have been certified FDA GMP compliant by an independent third party. GMP stands for Good Manufacturing Practices, which are a set of guidelines drafted by the Food and Drug Administration specifically for the dietary supplement industry. These GMPs are similar to pharmaceutical GMPs in some important respects. They address everything from raw material handling and sampling through the manufacturing process to finished goods and product labeling. We ensure our manufacturers’ continued compliance with the current FDA GMPs with an independent annual audit when needed. Our manufacturers must provide a certificate of analysis for each lot number shipped to our Madison headquarters for distribution. This certificate of analysis must indicate that the product meets our specifications for purity and safety. What happens if I am late, miss or have to cancel my appointment?

We understand that life happens, but to be respectful to all our clients if you are late for an appointment, the allotted time for the appointment will be maintained. We request a 24-hour notice for cancellations. Missed appointments will not be refunded and will be charged at full price (or be deducted from program sessions). Cancellations less than 24-hours’ notice will result in a $25.00 charge.
